COPE Care Home

The project comprised of the construction of a new two- storey residence, plant room and all ancillary site works for COPE clients which will enable them to live as independently as possible in a fully integrated way within the community. The residence was designed in terms of massing and finishes to blend in with the other houses in this mature estate. The property is subdivided internally, for operational reasons, into 4 ‘Apartments’ to facilitate small family sized groups and couples/individuals to live autonomously in their own living units while benefiting from the shared outdoor areas and gardens. Wireless ‘smart’/ assistive technologies were embedded throughout the residence to empower the residents to live as independently as possible.
