Construction of a student accommodation development comprising 419 nr. beds over a part 9, part 11, part 14 storey building. The 9,551sqm development is delivered over 2 phases and provides cluster flats and self-contained studios.

Phase 1 comprises 299 beds, including 149 study bedrooms arranged within 25 cluster flats of 5 and 7 bedrooms sharing communal kitchen, dining and living facilities, together with 150 self-contained studio units.

Phase 2 adds a further 120 beds, comprising a mix of studio apartments and cluster accommodation across ten floors. Students will benefit from additional communal amenity areas including study spaces, a cinema room and external amenity areas.

The works include: 

• Demolition of the existing building and foundations, crushing and reusing the concrete slabs and foundations for the new build works

• Construction of a student residential building to provide the accommodation 

• Provision of separate systems of drainage including attenuation

• Provision of a new electrical substation and water incoming services

• External hard and soft landscaped courtyard as shown on the site layout

• Common lounge/games area, study rooms, gym, laundry, cinema room and external hard and soft landscaped amenity spaces

The development will be built to an “Excellent” BREEAM rating.
